M2C is a very upscale styled shop. The décor is ostensibly hipster, with exposed brick and odd modern art. The music being piped over its speakers was in English, but I couldn’t identify it. You have your choice of seating options, from wooden chairs to sofas to outdoor benches. It’s a nice vibe, on the whole. They clearly cater to a number of travelers – roughly half the customers I saw on this Saturday afternoon were foreign.
The menu is wide-ranging, including plenty of specialty coffees, teas, smoothies, yogurts, soda, and on and on. They also serve a number of meals, desserts, and wine. All of it is overpriced, as the atmosphere might indicate. The black iced Vietnamese coffee, which runs for 40,000đ (or 35,000đ if you don’t want the ice) at least marvelously strong and pure – so you do at least get a good quality brew for the high price. I also couldn’t help myself and eventually ordered one of the “Special M2C” coffees as well. It turned out to be more of a coffee-flavored smoothie that includes coconut, banana, and cream. Honestly, I wasn’t much of a fan – it’s too sweet for my liking, and the banana flavor was not as good a compliment as I had hoped.
Verdict: It’s not too likely I’ll come back. The coffee is good, but I just consider 40,000đ to be above the reasonable range.
