Café 365 is a rather large and prominent coffee shop on Út Tịch street, just down the street from some others I’ve reviewed before. It’s actually a two-part shop, occupying both corner slots at the entrance to the 45 Hoàng Việt alley. Both bottom floors are open-air, but since today happened to be unusually cool, I opted to stay out there. Loud Vietnamese music wafted through the spacious parlor, and silly wallpaper lined its pillars. The chairs are upholstered in faux newspaper, and are pretty comfortable. A large number of local laptop-warriors seemed to like the place, which I took as a good sign.
The menu at 365 is extensive, but is still only drinks. You’ll find all manner of coffee, tea, smoothies, sodas, and more here for reasonable prices. You can even get a few types of alcoholic drinks if you like. I stuck with my standard black iced coffee, which ran for 18,000đ. It was a little bitter, but had good flavor and a notably pleasant aroma. The staff doesn’t speak much English, but that should never deter you.
Verdict: I approve! This should be a good haunt for those precious few comfortable days here in Saigon.
