CI5 Coffee & Tea House
243 Lê Văn Sỹ, District 3

CI5 is a small 24-hour shop tucked into a corner along Lê Văn Sỹ street. It’s adorned with some strange antiques and was playing electronica-ish remixes of early 2000’s pop songs. I think the vibe they were going for is simply, “quirky,” and they were successful. It’s a small space by any stretch, and only a few of the tables are very conducive to laptop-work. No two chairs seem to match each other. If you’re of a musical bent, they have a piano on one wall, though I have no idea if it’s in tune. And try not to be shocked when you hear the snap of the bug-zapper by the window (no joke). Yeah…quirky.
In any case, the coffee is not bad, though the server didn’t seem to catch that I was looking for no sugar in my 35,000 đ cup. There’s also a decent selection of Western coffees, teas, and juices, but prices are not exactly low.
Verdict: I’ll probably be back because it’s in easy walking distance of my house, but CI5 is not the type of place to go out of your way for.
